Divorce is one of the most emotional and traumatic events any individual can experience and often brings out the worst in good people.  Further family law is quite different from other areas of law as both sides will often continue to have some type of relationship with each other, even after the case is over.  Children are often involved, whose needs and interests must be considered.     Thus, in addition to being a strong advocate, a family law attorney must help his clients sort through these emotions and help the clients make the best decisions for themselves and their families.   Sometimes all a client wants is a sympathetic ear.

Jeff Conner has practiced family law exclusively for over 17 years, representing husbands, wives, mothers and fathers before both trial courts and appellate courts.   He is board certified in marital and family law by the Florida Bar Association and has lectured on various family law topics.    In his 17 years of practicing family law, Jeff has learned that every client is unique and every case is unique.   Each client’s needs are different.    Accordingly each client and each case requires a unique approach and a unique resolution.    Jeff is prepared to use a strong hand or a soft touch, whatever approach the case requires.    Jeff understands what his clients are experiencing and helps his clients through this emotionally trying time.

In addition to being a board certified marital and family law attorney, Jeff is a certified family law mediator and has been trained in collaborative law.   Jeff is committed to fostering mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.   In his 17 years of experience, Jeff has seen the damage and harm protracted litigation and trials can cause a family.    It can take years for an individual or family to recover from the financial costs of a nasty divorce.  Sometimes, a family and children never fully recover from the psychological damage caused when parents engage in a prolonged legal battle.  As a result,   Jeff will mediate any divorce or other family law matter, even if one or both parties do not have an attorney.

Jeff was raised in Tampa.   After graduation from law school, he practiced and lived in Jacksonville for 14 years before moving to the Orlando area and Winter Garden in 2006.   His office is located in historic downtown Winter Garden, on the second floor of the D & D Building next to the Sweet Traditions French Bakery and Café and the West Orange bicycle trail.
